The Refuge Center for Counseling is a faith-based, non-profit counseling center. Our decision to enter the non-profit world is based on our belief that everyone deserves a chance to improve their marriage, their family, and their life. The Refuge Center is committed to offering the highest quality, professional counseling services. Our fee for all types of counseling services is $85 per clinical hour (50 min.)
We do have a sliding scale that you can apply for. Our sliding scale is based on income. If your combined household income is under $85,000 per year your are eligible to apply. If you qualify, we would charge you one dollar per thousand that your home generates in income a year (gross), per clinical hour. The scale ranges from $10-85 per session.
In order to apply, we will need a W2 or a recent paystub at the first appointment. That will verify your income. Once we have that information, we will be able to grant you your sliding scale fee, and you will sign a financial agreement as part of the intake process. With this system, no one is excluded based on income and quality counseling services can be afforded by all.
